I recently had the pleasure of staying at Umutuzo Lodge, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Everything was amazing. We received an exceptional welcome, the food was healthy and delicious, and we got all the assistance we needed for touring. My kids loved the lodge and all the activities they experienced, including cruising on Lake Kivu, swimming, enjoying the fishermen experience, and of course, playing cards. We had an unforgettable time. The owners, Aicha and Ivan, are incredibly kind and caring. It was a wonderful vacation. Umurobyi is a peaceful and quiet place - with a great view, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

Excellent location with amazing views across the lake. Room was spacious and very clean. Hotel is ideally located in lake kivu and they were able to organise a boat tour for us as soon as we arrived which was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and they had vegan options as well as adapt menu items to be vegan. Prices for drink and food were reasonable and good quality. Would happily stay again.

We had an excellent stay here!!! The location is right by the bus station and very handy for getting to shops, restaurants and bars. The manager (Paul) is a great guy who will help you out with anything you need and is great to chat to. He organised for our laundry to be done while we went hiking for a very small fee. The breakfast is fantastic 👌!!! I think whoever makes the guacamole is part Mexican....

The location is stunning and overlooks the lake on both sides - with a short walkway down to the lakeshore. It is a supremely relaxing spot with goats and sheep roaming in the garden. Deborah and the team are superb hosts and we felt very much at home here.

The staff - gave me a huge amount of help to arrange transport. The location is lovely, with views over the lake. Accommodation is simple but very clean and aligns with price. Food is good. WiFi possibly the best I had in Rwanda.

Amazing place to stay in Kibuye. The staff is awesome and the place to have breakfast great. We really enjoyed our stay. There is a restaurant near by which was delicious and a perfect spot for sunset. I took a treatment at the spa which was one if the best i‘ve ever had. We would definitely stay there again.
