The Radiant City
Honoured by Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi, one of the holiest mosques in Islam, Medina is the 2nd most important Islamic pilgrimage site after Mecca. Surrounded by hills that have seen hundreds of people seek refuge in its oasis, this city has developed a range of modern facilities to host the pilgrims from all over the world.
Formerly named Yathrib, the city is also known as Madīnat an-Nabiy or ‘Prophet’s City’, and it’s also known as Al-Madīnat(u) 'l-Munawwarah or ‘Radiant City’. The Prophet Muhammad came to the city in the 7th century, seeking refuge from his opponents. According to Muslim theology, the last chapters of the Quran were revealed to him here.
The site where the Prophet lived is now occupied by the Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi or ‘Prophet’s Mosque’. Although the mosque has changed and expanded over the years, the green dome is part of the original sanctuary.
Places like the Masjid Quba mosque, the Masjid Al-Qiblatain mosque and the Al-Baqi Cemetery also represent important holy sites in Medina.

The neighbourhood was very dengue .
The neighbourhood was very dengue .I'm afraid to sleep in this hotel with my family it was unsafe. The hotel very far from masjed el madina it take25 min by bus and there's no bus after each pray ,you have to stay from Asr to 10 pm to come back to to hotel and you can't walk because of construction around the hole and you have to cross high way plus the un safe neighbourhood. My favourite places in Al Madinah were Masjid Quba and Masjid Al-Qiblatayn, both very peaceful and spiritually uplifting. I enjoyed a variety of foods during my stay, including pizza, burgers, wraps, and biryani. The options were delicious and convenient. It was quite easy to move around Al Madinah as I mainly used Uber taxis, which were comfortable and reliable. For families with young children, one of the best things is the availability of Halal food everywhere, making meals stress-free and enjoyable for everyone.Guest review bymuhammad - 10.0

Madinah al Munawwarah is the best and the most peaceful city in the world, travelled alot of global cities with no match to it when it comes to your mental peace and the friendliness of the people of this city. Shopping, food, activities like the museum, the city tour bus, malls nearby haram and especially the small shops spread across the city, the hospitality & humility of the Madinians is outrageous. The name is Medina tl Nabi meaning city of Prophet. Centre stage is Prophet's mosque. Best place in whole of the world. Romansia is a very good place to eat though there are others equally good. This a very busy place so better to visit in times when there are no holidays to dodge the congestion of people. Very easy to move about. The beds were some of the best I have ever slept on. And the food in the restaurant was amazing!! If there’s one thing to talk improve it was that the WiFi didn’t work for me or my family. On the other hand it was Ramadan so maybe it was a good thing that we didn’t have internet to distract us. Overall 9.5/10 experience.
