Arrived during medieval week, where the locals from baby's, to teens, to adult and the old, all get dressed in the local "traditional" costumes of an era long gone. Visby is one of the Hansa towns, so has great history of for the area and has kept its medieval look and feel with narrow streets (v.limited cars thank heavens), cafes by babbling streams, great restaurants with amzing staff who all spoke English - phew! Out-of-season prices are extremely good value for money, the location is perfect, the breakfast excellent, the rooms cosy and the staff has always been great here (thank you Sandra and Jenny).
