The view from this hotel is absolutely spectacular. It was honestly a joy to open the curtains each morning to the stunning surroundings. The staff are really what make it though. They were so attentive, kind, and helpful, and really made us feel special. To add to this, there are so many nice details that the owners have thought of - like the Keereen robes and beach bags for each guest. It made it feel like a five star boutique experience.

Hotel is spotlessly clean and location is perfect, very close to main strip but yet calm and peaceful. Atmosphere is very relaxing and pleasant. Clean and big rooms. One of the best espreso coffee we have ever tried. Perfect sunset from rooftop pool. But far the best thing in the Hotel are staff members, they all are sooooo nice, kind and helpful. At the end of our holiday we felt like we say goodbuy to our family members.

The room was large ,kept clean ,bed and pillows very comfy ,nice shower ,nice little po ol and the owner and staff are extremely helpful and friendly , in fact the lady who owned it and another member of staff addressed me daily by my name ❤️having travelled a month it was a nice touch .

Aonang Lodge was like a home from home, I couldn't recommend it more. Lawrence & Pat are incredible hosts, they make you feel so welcome and looked after - Pat's an amazing cook too, I had her legendary banana pancakes every day! The location and room itself are perfect, you get a gorgeous view of the mountains and forest from your bedroom - free bottled water every day too. It feels really secluded and peaceful, but you're less than a 10 min walk from 7/11 and lots of good restaurants (if you want Thai food, the choices up by the lodge are much better than in town, lots of highly rated ones.) And the main town/beach is only 20minute walk away down main road with lots of shops and places to eat - although there are always tuktuks for 100baht outside the 7/11 if you feel too lazy to walk it! It's incredibly good value and the atmosphere Lawrence & Pat create is really friendly and relaxed, almost like their guests are a temporary extension of their family. If I'm ever back in Krabi, I'd book again in a heartbeat.

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the...

    If you want the beach and trips from the beach to the islands do not recommend you go this time of the year. As three single travellers there were very few bars, lots of restaurants that sold alcohol but no bars you could sit at and have a chat only found four and three of those were a good 30min walk from the centre. Ao Nang seems to have changed a lot over the years and has lost a lot of it's character as it is now catering more for families, which is not a all bad if that is what you are looking for but comparing it with Hua Hin, or Koh Samui, it just doesn't.

    All restaurants and activities were near by or a short ride with a scooter. KoDam restaurant serves great Thai dishes and the same restaurant by the sea has a great view with the same prices as the one in Ao Nang.

    The strip of sand is overlooked by a busy road and shops. Very little shelter from the sun and on-shore winds whip up waves and churn the water to a very unappealing colour. Plenty of bars and places to eat locally - but very few truly "Thai" owned/run. LOTS of Indian restaurants! Ao Nang beach is a beach from which you depart to visit much nicer places!!

    There were many sightseeing opportunities I was unable to...

    There were many sightseeing opportunities I was unable to access due to my Muay Thai training event. If I return, I will pursue these options. The beach was near countless stores and restaurants. There are plenty of people to meet and things to do. I would revisit if given a second chance.

    It's a perfect outing for holidays, honeymoon or for what ever reasons. Can choose from high end hotels, or budget one. People around are friendly and helpful. Foods hunting are heaven, cheap seafood at night market any restaurants. Don't miss jumpa to island executions that you won't regards it

    The actual beach was not great for swimming.

    The actual beach was not great for swimming. At high tide there was very little sand to walk on and the beach was not flat. Water was not very clear, possibly due to grey skies or longboat activity. So Nang has many hotels and resorts either great pools as an alternative. Ao Nang is a great place to visit the Islands, Emerald Lake, hot springs or go kayaking in the mangroves. It is easy to get tuk tuks, taxis and grab cars and bikes all along the beachfront. There was a great selection of Thai, Italian, Indian and Mexican restaurants and lots of bars with extended happy hours. Make sure you have lots of mozzie spray, especially if you go over to Railay beach and walk over to Diamond Cave. We’d recommend paying for a hotel with buffet breakfast if travelling with teenagers as the food is great and tends to set you up an early dinner time. If you have children I’d recommend Ananta Burin hotel as it has several pools, one with a water slide and pool bar so the young ones and adults are easily entertained.

    Everything about our stay was exceptional. Amongst beautiful 360 views of the well known Krabi cliffs , Anana is only a short walk away from the main streets of Ao Nang beach ( hotel offers a free scheduled shuttle service). The hotel is targeted towards relaxation. The spa service was brilliant. On-site food was to the level of some of the best restaurants. The staff were amazing - eager to help and particularly friendly. The ecological touch sealed it all together.

    This property is the best that Ao Nang, Krabi, has to offer! It’s as exclusive as it gets, with a private beach. Their speedboat service is efficient, and the pick-up and drop-off are well-managed. Initially, I was apprehensive that we might feel stuck at the property, but I was wrong. We thoroughly enjoyed walking along the Monkey Trail to explore the quaint town, which offers plenty of options for dining and shopping.

    Great location close to beach, nice big rooms, you get also beach towels and beach bag in room, pool area is nice and quiet. In lobby you can buy drinks and snack at good price,breakfast is basic but good. Staff is very nice and we would visit again. Family restaurant just in front of hotel is must do- for us it was best food in Krabi.. do not worry if you see a lot people waiting it goes so fast 🙃

    I haven't long come back from a trip to Asia. if I ever visit krabi (which has been the last 3 years), it's this hotel I want to stay in.. the location is great, just a short walk to the beach. the rooms are spacious with the comfiest beds. The staff remember me from my first visit and always welcome me back with a smile.. especially Amporn, the front office manager.. top hotel
