Amazing history, cuisine and exploring the old town is a fascinating experience. Friendly people always welcoming to visitors and interested in hearing what you think of their city. Antakya is a gorgeous city with one of the best museums in the country. It is so far my favorite city in Turkey! As a solo traveler I feel very safe here, do not get hassled, no one is being pushy and trying to sell me things. Plus the food here is possibly the best I have ever had- in all of my travels!!! The breakfast spread is amazing in this place - it starts rather late at 8:30 but oh everything that comes out of the kitchen is superb.
