The best thing about Avon is walkable area. Restaurants are not impressive. The Vin48 was terrible. The food was poor quality and way overpriced. The worst Chicken Marsala I’ve ever had. Avon is small and easy to get around.
Avon is small and easy to get around. Northside Kitchen is a good place to eat. Have brunch at 11:30am or after to avoid the busy time. Walgreens is conveniently located if needed. Avon is very close to Vail which is where we were going to watch a couple of hockey games.... great entertainment - tickets are only $10 online - John Dobson Arena. Nottingham Lake and Beach Park in Avon is a nice place to walk in winter and is dog friendly.Guest review byjdimarco111United States - 10

If you love to ski at Beaver Creek, it's a very short bus ride from Avon. Avon is generally more affordable for stays and has many great restaurant options. We have found many of the hotels in Avon offer larger rooms or suites with kitchens so you don't have to eat our or can share with another family. There are free public buses and shuttles to get around Avon and Beaver Creek very easily.
