Castle Danger has great food options like The Rustic Inn Cafe (best delicately battered onion rings ever!). Lake Superior seemed only a few feet away from my window in the Grand Superior Lodge room. Staying here gives you a nice feel for the character of the North Shore including both the terrain and the people. Staff were locals who were very accommodating and helpful and the setting is quite fine as well. They also did a very good job of making the most of limited staffing due to covid. The drive up and down 61 is breathtaking.
The drive up and down 61 is breathtaking. I like looking at majestic Lake Superior and the towns like Two Harbors and Grand Marais are well-kept and fun to check out. Lutsen Mountains is a cool place, too. The Rustic Inn Cafe is just up the road from the Grand Superior Lodge/Resort and has wonderful food and a nice gift shop.Guest review byBarbUnited States
