at check in time our room was not cleaned yet and they moved us to another very uncomfortable room downstairs which had a stinky smell and the room fan did not work, So we left the hotel requesting a full refund of our pre payment. Castle Rock is close to Mt St Helens National Monument which makes it an ideal place to stay for the night when planning a hike in the park (which is beautiful). The town is small with a good grocery store and a few restaurants. We had takeout from Papa Pizza Pete and it was excellent. Very charming small town on the Cowlitz River.
Very charming small town on the Cowlitz River. We enjoyed the shops and local flavor and beautiful flowers planted everywhere. Very easy to park and just walk around. There is a nice pathway that runs along the river as well. We ate at the Oasis Bar several times which had a great variety of options which everyone seemed to enjoy.Guest review byElizabethUnited States

Lobby had some free stuff not expected in a 2 star hotel (free water, some snacks). Owner/manager was really willing and interested in improving customer service. Willing to listen to customer ideas. There was an ashtray right outside my door so it was easily accessible and I liked that.
