I want to express my gratitude to Ms. Mumbi Muhu and Ms. Betty Rios of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Corona, CA. On the morning of Thursday, March 21, I had the pleasure of speaking to both after a horrendous night at a competitor’s hotel (my room reserved since Dec. ’23 had been given to someone else, despite my arrival before 10pm). I had slept poorly at a dingy hotel 15 miles away (far from the Basketball tournament event venues). I was scrambling to find anything (spring break and another massive soccer tournament had booked nearly every hotel room). When I was able to find this room at the Corona Holiday Inn Express on Google and book it, I quickly called to validate they indeed could see my reservation and I asked how soon I could check in (fearing I might lose the room again—I needed it through the weekend for the tournament). Mumbi was very understanding and gracious, despite my anxiety. She even called me when they changed my room number, just to make sure it didn’t panic me when I arrived. I needed a room with 2 queen beds, as I had my family of 4 with me. When I arrived, it was a breath of fresh air, compared to the experience I’d had with ESA staff the night before and that morning. They upgraded me to a suite without my asking and this gesture has made me a champion for Holiday Inn going forward! Mumbi and Betty are to be congratulated for running a top-notch hotel in the area. I plan to return to this particular hotel when in the area BECAUSE of these two wonderful people (and its ideal location and beautiful facility)! Kudos to them both!

Traveling for our anniversary, and the staff was just so welcoming and appreciative. John and Dariann especially were wonderful, they even stalled us at the front desk to put folded towel swans and candy in our room, which was one of the newer, larger rooms since they just remodeled. The food was excellent and I looked forward to breakfast every morning. This was a fantastic experience, and I cannot recommend enough!

There was nothing enjoyable with this stay. The room was ran down and outdated, the bedding, shower curtains and towels had stains on them even to the point where previous guests hair was on stuff pretty disgusting.

    The walls were so thin that we could hear the people next to...

    The walls were so thin that we could hear the people next to us having sex - like literally my child and husband sat there and could hear them and felt their bed banging against our wall. There was someone’s left over gum on shower wall. We requested to move rooms and were out next to a family that had their tv blaring so loud we could hear it in our room. This room had what appeared to be blood stains in the shower. Hair all over the floor in the bathroom. Dirty sheets and towels. When we requested an additional towel, the front desk said they could only give us one because they didn’t have extra. The beds were so uncomfortable and thin, it felt like we were sleeping on the concrete. When I asked the front desk about the beds, they said they only have the mattress and metal frame due to bed bugs. Then this morning the maintenance guy started to enter our room to do an order at 8 am, only to find out he entered the wrong room. We drove two hours for Easter and stayed at the hotel hoping to have a relaxing stay and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had.

    Corona is not the city I remember.

    Corona is not the city I remember. Its become too crowded and traffic is terrible. Getting around can be difficult due to the high volume of traffic. However, the location, in proximity, to Orange County, does provide an abundance of places that offer good food and places for entertainment without having to drive to cities in Orange County.

    Corona is located south east of Riverside County. Two major highways pass through the town, highway 15 and State route 91. South Corona is where the wood springs hotel is located, approximately 80 miles north of San Diego and 30 miles north of Temecula.

    Corona is a great City! Plenty to see and do in the area.

    Corona is a great City! Plenty to see and do in the area. Great restaurants and plenty of modern conveniences along with small town charm. We’ll be going back soon! We had dinner one evening at Good Fellas Italian and a great breakfast at the Airport Restaurant. Both were awesome, with delicious food and great service!

    It was an ADA room and it was the last room down the hall.

    It was an ADA room and it was the last room down the hall. My husband had to stop walking 4 times to catch his breath before getting to the room. The beds were NOT Queen which I asked for, they were Double. My daughter and I could not sleep comfortably. The shower ran outside the curtain so my husband couldn't use it, he would have slipped on the water. I was surprised there was no microwave. The room was much smaller than the picture made it look.

    The staff was friendly.

    The staff was friendly. The inn is on a main road right next to a CVS, which I found helpful. There was also fast food restaurants relatively close. The refrigerator is a good size and came in handy. The charging outlets right next to the bed were convenient. The bed was comfortable. The light above the vanity sink in room 201 did not work. It was outside of the bathroom and where I brushed my teeth, put on jewelry, etc. When I reported it to the front desk thinking that perhaps the bulb was out, the attendant told me that there was something actually wrong with the wiring/circuit/something (I can't remember) and that it was not just my room. I guess I could have asked to switch rooms, but it was only a mild inconvenience so I stayed put. This property was a good value for the money.
