Terrific paths for walking along the harbor. Great restaurants and spots to enjoy the ocean. The Ohana Festival is lucky to be able to return each year to Doheny State Beach in Dana Point! I found the path along the beach and harbor very easy to access and a perfect way to enjoy the views. We were in Dana Point the day after New Years Eve. The Christmas decorations on trees, businesses and the harbor are fantastic. Every server, whether mid day appetizers or dinner were the best .... ever. Made you feel like family. Dana Point is one of the best places we've been. Chart House is truly a great dining experience. Husband and I stayed one night to catch a fishing charter scheduled for the following morning. The location was perfect... Walking distance to food, shopping, marina and beaches... Rooms were clean and the staff was polite and helpful... Other than the few issues listed below, we would definitely stay here again and recommend others give it a try... * The location of our room on the second floor, left us with no privacy, Unless we kept the drapes drawn, hotel guests stepping off the elevator were able to see directly into our room... *Room key issues- Need to update system.
