MY STAY WAS EXCELLENT EXCEPT THERE WAS A HOCKEY TEAM STAYING WITH CHILDREN AND THEY WERE RUN-UP AND DOWN THE HALLWAYS WHICH SHOULD OF BEEN HANDLED ALSO MY ROOM WAS PAID IN FULL THROUGH BOOKING.COM BUT WHEN WE GO TO THE HOTEL WE WERE HIT WITH AN EXTRA FEE OF $100 AND WAS TOLD IT WAS INCASE OF HOTEL DAMAGES OK THIS IS FINE I GET IT BUT THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD WHEN WE BOOKED THE ROOM OR INCLUDED IN YOUR BOOKING ALOT OF PEOPLE THAT WE TALKED WITH THAT HAD BOOKED A ROOM THERE WERE VERY UPSET ABOUT THAT EXTRA FEE I THINK THAT THE HOTEL NEEDS TO BETTER LETTING THE GUEST KNOW THAT IN ADVANCE PEOPLE ARE CHECKING IN THINKING THERE HOTEL IS PAID AND THEN THEY ASK YOU FOR ANOTHER $100 I JUST DON'T THINK THAT IS RIGHT OTHER THAN THAT MY ROOM WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND CLEAN AND THE STAFF WAS NICE OH AND THE BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS GOODGuest review byCrawford - 8.0

We loved Grand Rapids and there was so much more we could have explored had we had more time. We plan on coming back soon though! We loved the Lantern Festival and Meijer Gardens. There is so much to do downtown and with great eateries and places to tuck into for a drink, it is the perfect place for a day of shopping and a night out on the town. I was visiting Frederik Meijer Gardens and to see a summer concert, so wasn't expecting anything from Grand Rapids but it's a lovely city and I would have happily stayed an extra night or two. I only had one full day to explore the city. The art gallery is really good and in a nice area for eating and getting a drink. The library is cool and we found it pretty walkable overall, or easy to find parking if needing to drive. Good restaurants, breweries, cafes, etc... And FM garden and sculpture park only about ten minutes drive is awesome. I feel there is much more to explore in this area.Guest review bySALLYCanada - 8.0

The front desk staff Stephanie allowed me to check in early and upgraded us to a bigger room which was very kind and unexpected. Due to my long flight from Ecuador I was able to go to my room and rest. The breakfast was included and it has great selection. The bed is very comfy! My husband was using the gym and spa and we just felt like we were home.
