This is a very small community, with several restaurants.

This is a very small community, with several restaurants. The community has passed its glorious days, and it is kind of deserted. If you are looking for a quiet and a non-fancy location, it is a good place to relax and if you like water and water activities. Otherwise, it is a very boring location. The worst part of the trip is getting there. Unless you route yourself with an additional 30mi. to 50 mi. longer, you will have to go through very windy and difficult roads to get to the lake. Well, I could say the same thing to some of the mountainous locations. So this is for FYI only.

I've lived in Lake County and go back frequently.

I've lived in Lake County and go back frequently. The area is depressed but beautiful. Hot in summer, but plenty of places to enjoy the lake and the shade such as the state and county parks on Soda Bay Road. Fall is beautiful with all of the colors changing in the many, many trees.

As a Native American I can't say how upsetting the history...

As a Native American I can't say how upsetting the history of the name that goes with this town made me, but other than that it's beautiful country settings and breathtaking lake views and exquisite landscapes.

The linen, specifically the quilt was badly stained and not washed properly. Shower curtains were nasty. The Front desk guy, perhaps the mansger/owner, barely spoke english and came across as rude Just 6 cars in the parking lot on a Sat night, looked like low occupancy. I know the hotel business is not easy, their location is not bad, but you cannot compromise on cleanliness.

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION! A bit far from restaurants but within 20 minutes you can be in Kelseyville or Lakeport. This place is clean, lowkey and friendly. And extremely safe!! We left the key in our door overnight, we're old!, and nothing suspicious ever happened. Easy parking just outside the rooms also.

Room and Hotel was so good but just let you know that there are some ants on floor but staff can solve it. Rooms are so clean and nice smell. We were so happy that pool was so clean and rooms are clean.
