I arrived later than expected but the front desk lady still arranged a shuttle for me from the airport, saving me money for a cab. The manager drove me himself! The hotel was clean and very quiet, plus they had beer for sale, which was great because there was no bars or stores near by. Breakfast was hot and delicious. I would definetly recommend this hotel.

Perfect place to get away from all the hustle of daily life. It was nestled in a valley with beautiful view of the mountain. Although crowded you were never imposed upon in a crowded place. Great place to make family memories.

We had a wonderful vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We stayed in a room in the main house, which was quaint. There was a fireplace instead of a TV, which made for a quiet evening. Unfortunately, it was cloudy when we stayed, but the starry sky must have been beautiful. (We were fine, but perhaps some of you may be concerned about the water pressure in the showers.) During the day it was clear so we were able to explore the trails. It was beautiful as well. The food was very good and we were very satisfied. We would like to visit again in another season.

The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The whole building is fabulous, steeped in history, and the rooms all have their own personality and character, with wonderful features in each room. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal, the products were locally sourced and delicious 😋 The town of Stanardsville is lovely and has a great shop called Noon which features local artists. You could spend hours in this shop!
