A very nice and exquisite boutique hotel in Hollywood, right next to some boutique apartments, and landmarks down the Hollywood Hills, walkable towards TCL Chinese Theater. I am very fortunate to stay in the room named after Bette Davis, which you will find is how they label their room. The room is absolutely stunning in Chinoiserie Style, with all the decorations on point. The staff is friendly and helpful. Had the most amazing stay in Hollywood that I would not forget.

FAQs about hotels in Los Angeles

City of Angels

Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.

Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.

And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present.  Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.

Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).

Los Angeles is a city of stark contrasts.

Los Angeles is a city of stark contrasts. The tourist experience mirrors the reality of the locals, for example, if you have money and a car you will have a great experience. As a budget traveller and no car you will be faced with a city that is seriously lacking in many aspects. Travelling in public transport is an strange experience that I wouldn’t recommend to most people. It doesn’t feel strictly unsafe but rather unsettling. Accidentally had to walk near Macarthur Park for a transfer and I was shocked at the homeless situation. However, the food was simply amazing. I recommend Liu’s Cafe on Koreatown.

Downtown has a bit to much homeless people. And some of the streets smell like piss. A few food spots are extremely overpriced. Yet there still are food truck options for under $12 bucks. Overall I was at an even at sinners and saints very lovely rooftop night club.

There is a lot to do in LA - if somebody says 2 days are enough, don't trust them. You want to visit Warner Bros, take a walk on elegant streets, see Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, another day see the Hollywood Blvd and Sunset - there you may grab a drink and spot some celebrities, another day you take a trip to Santa Monica and Venice Beach. How about going to El Matador and Malibu? Maybe you want to see the perfect views? Try running in Runyon - have some activities there, nice place to feel the California Vibe. We spent there 5 days - I would like to visit LA again in future

I didn't get to see much of LA because spent too much time trying to get to where I wanted to go, freeways are HORRIBLE and it's hard to keep up with the signs on freeways telling you which lane you need to be in to get anywhere. California is a beautful state and it's too bad things are so expenseive and complicated that it kinda ruins the fun anymore.

The best thing we did was walk up to the observatory a few times, once in the day and once at dusk to see sunset & night sky. Universal studios was fun and we visited the Hollywood museum that had some great costumes from films across the years. We used the metro and buses to get around, it felt safe during the day and evenings when we were on it.

Stayed at the hotel for the second time, it's a great place to recover from the flights' fatigue . Love the comfy bed and the space ! The free drink and snacks in the evening are a plus . The staff is - as always - super nice and the breakfast is pretty good too. I love the rooms , the atrium and the glass elevators which are fun for the kids and grown-ups ! I have also used the laundry room , it was quick , easy and cheap. Every time I have used the shuttles to and from the airport , the drivers were very helpful.

Excellent hotel, best I ever stayed in LA. 2 breakfast rooms with excellent options, incredible and helpful employees, great parking in the building. The location is perfect for tourism in Los Angeles, as is near enough from Santa Monica, Bervely Hills, Hollywood, downtown LA etc. and you won't lose much time in traffic.

You would only stay here for universal and it’s a short walk away, so that’s good. I think the extra charges for parking are too much considering the hotel is not cheap. It was clean, that’s all we needed. The area around the hotel is not nice and I wouldn’t walk around there if I had kids with me.
