Walking into the Penn Wells Hotel is like stepping back in time....Beautifully maintained building with original fixtures. Breakfast was nice but the same each day....All staff extremely friendly and helpful.

I was late arriving to the room. And the staff still provided me with a key, allowing me to get in. It was the most thoughtful thing I've ever seen in life. Sincerely

Everything was great. The staff, the ladies that served breakfast, everyone. Warm inviting clean. Loved the room. Would stay here again in the near future!

The location was fantastic. A five minute walk to a lovely downtown with cafes, great restaurants and interesting shops. The motel had been completely refurbished and was fresh and very clean. The rooms had a cottage type ambience and were very comfortable. The motel was full when we were there but was very quiet. The indoor pool is fantastic. Big, deep and warm! I used it 5 times during a 2 night stay. There is great hiking and bicycling in the area which was what we there for. Don't miss the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon! Lovely walking the streets around the motel as well. A 10/10 stay.

Quiet and Clean with laundry machines and a pool table and even shuffle board. Two kitchens. Plenty of space in common areas indoors and outdoors to enjoy the serenity and relax.

From the moment I arrived, Bill's warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel like an honored guest. He went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location of Wellsboro Rail Trail 1 is simply unbeatable. Nestled in close proximity to local attractions and a variety of restaurants, it serves as the perfect hub for exploring the Wellsboro area. Whether you're an avid hiker eager to explore the picturesque Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, a traveler looking to immerse yourself in the charm of Wellsboro, or a food enthusiast seeking local culinary delights, you'll find that everything you desire is just a distance away. The convenience of having all these options within easy reach added immense value to my stay. I had the pleasure of soaking in the natural beauty of the area during the day and savoring delicious meals at nearby restaurants in the evening, all without the hassle of lengthy travel. Furthermore, the thoughtful amenities at Wellsboro Rail Trail 1 enhanced my overall experience. Guests can enjoy complimentary coffee and water, which made my mornings even more enjoyable. Additionally, the towels and linens provided were not only spotlessly clean but also remarkably comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. For families traveling with children, the property's backyard is a true gem. The spacious and well-maintained backyard became an instant hit with the kids, providing a perfect playground for them to burn off energy and have endless outdoor fun. In summary, my stay at Wellsboro Rail Trail 1 was nothing short of delightful, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Bill, the fantastic location, and the thoughtful amenities.

When we arrived it was easy to get into the cabin. Opening the door there is nothing comfortable for a stay of a couple days if you want a get away. This is really more of a hunting cabin. This was not clear to us. Therefore we checked out right away and cancelled the rest of the nights. The fact that our CC was charged immediately but the reimbursement took 14 days was not customer friendly. Reaching out to them a couple times I was notified that Booking.com will take so long but booking.vom informed us it’s all up to the site. I believe some outdoor junkies would be happy at the location, definitely not for us. Only marking it down as there could be some more information on the raw conditions and because the reimbursement took forever.
