If you like being near the ocean, hiking and or camping San Simeon is a worthy location. San Simeon does not have a night life (No Live entertainment). I would recommend San Simeon to anyone that would like to chill in a artesian environment.Guest review byleon - 10
We always stay in San Simeon when coming to the coast.
We always stay in San Simeon when coming to the coast. It’s more relaxed with way less people. We enjoy the quiet less crowded beaches. It’s just a short drive to Morro Bay and Pismo Beach. There are a few restaurants to choose from located right there next to every place to stay. There are 2 very small grocery stores/mini marts to grab a snack or something that you might have forgotten. There really isn’t anywhere to souvenir shop. We Alway check out what's happening at the elephant seal rockery nearby! Then a sweet little town, Cayucos is just a few minutes away, it has several great places to eat. San Simeon is a great place to visit. You are within five minutes of downtown Cambria which has lots of great places to shop and eat. San Simeon itself has the seals, Hearst Castle, and lots of places to buy a lunch and picnic outside if the weather is good.Guest review byAnonymous - 10

We were greeted by Ed when we arrived and he made our check in easy and pleasant. the cookies offered at check in with coffee and hot tea hit the spot. our rooms were comfortable and the hot breakfast was a great selection. We also enjoyed we had a few spots availble to enjoy playing board games and having breakfast. we enjoyed the firepit area very much.
