The one location that lives up to the hype.

The one location that lives up to the hype. We had such a great time visiting Tombstone on our way through to Dallas. A must stop is the Birdcage, and I absolutely recommend taking the tour for a walk through history. We had a cowboy-sized breakfast at the Longhorn restaurant made sure to stop by The Crystal Palace in the afternoon for a beer and wings. Take a short ride in one of the stagecoaches for a unique experience. The gunfight show is also fun if not a little bit longer than necessary.

Everyone with a yearn for history should make this trip at least once. The town reeks of nostalgia and the wild west. Must see's are the Bird Cage Theater, gun fights, Boot Hill and the Courthouse. The restaurants and lodging are not that great, I recommend staying in Sierra Vista about 20 miles west of Tombstone. It can be a little challenging if you have mobility issues but can be done. The entire town is a historical site and happy to have traveled there several times.

We had a great time in Tombstone.

We had a great time in Tombstone. We ate at Lone Star twice during our stay. We ate lunch a day at Crystal Saloon. We walked up and down the streets of tombstone and visited in various shops. Everyone was very friendly. We saw the shootout at the OK Corral, it was excellent. We went into the antique shop when you first drive into Tombstone and found a couple things that we purchased. We visited the Boothill cemetary, it was very interesting. We took a drive to Brisbee which was only about 20 minutes away.

Such a great trip back to the old west.

Such a great trip back to the old west. While each attraction (ie: OK Corral reenactment, Birdcage Theater, The Gunfighter Museum) all had an additional cost, the price of admission was very reasonable. All of the people working at the stores, museums, restaurants and actors were friendly, knowledgeable courteous. I highly recommend this as a two-day trip. We saw and experienced everything we had planned on without feeling rushed.

We really enjoyed the American Legion, everyone was very friendly. Our favorite Saloon was the Doc Holiday, the staff was amazing & drinks reasonable. We went to the Crystal Palace 3 different times, twice we were ignored and never seated, the 3rd time we were seated but never served. We finally left after 15-20 minutes. The breakfast & staff at the Stampede's Shot Gun Cafe were great & so was the food.

We have been to Tombstone 3 times, but this was the first time we stayed the night. You can easily spend 1 day but I recommend staying at least 1 night. We stayed 2 nights so we could spend all day Saturday, coming from Texas. It was perfect. A must is the Mine Tour (at the end of S 5th) and the show next to the Mine Tour. The OK Carrol show is good too but that's our 3rd choice. Sundays they have shootouts in the street that are really entertaining to watch. If I remember right that's the southeast side of town. Restauraants.....we REALLY liked Big Nose Kate every visit. We liked Longhorn Restaurant for breakfast but expect a long wait for food. it takes about 45 minutes from ordering. And it was not crowded. There were 5 of us and no one liked The Cystal Place Restaurant. my order was nowhere close to what I ordered, a burger. They bought me chili that was literally 90% beans. I hate beans in my chili. The full rack of pork ribs were queasy. They came out half on top of the other half. Top have were ok tasting but the bottom half was greasy and no seasoning or sauce.

We loved it, I think for short stays/ weekend trips its perfect. It was just my partner and I who stayed whilst visiting Tombstone, but if theres a group of people we imagined that the place would be great to book out, as there was a communal balcony area with a fire which would be fun with a crowd! We personally loved the themed rooms, really felt like going back in time whilst retaining the comfortable amenities of a modern Hotel room. The shower was fantastic, I wish more hotels had that set up!

The room was surprisingly large and well equipped with a fridge and microwave, dining area and big king bed. It was tucked away and very private. The receptionist was very friendly and had baked fresh cookies for us. Loved the Tombstone vibe of the Sagebrush. All the rooms are named after characters or famous people who had stayed there. Our room was named for a "lady of ill fame" So fun! Very unique experience - like the town itself.

Whoever designed that room is a genius! Amazing. Never saw a room so lovingly and thematically detailed decorated. Extreamly clean and comfortable. There are even QR codes to scan in the room which tells you interesting things about Tombstone. A breathtaking view to the mountains. Everything was perfect.
