We stopped in St. Joseph's on our way to the lake house.
We stopped in St. Joseph's on our way to the lake house. There we walked out to the lighthouses and then strolled through the quaint downtown. Much to our surprise we found a wine tasting option at Lazy Ballerina - 5 samples including a delicious cider, a truffle and keep the stemless wine glass for $10. Breakfast in Dowagiac at Railroad cafe was pretty ok - went into the local historical society (free) - wow - a lot of history for a small town. Then on to Fernwood Botanical Garden ($10) - beautiful grounds, trail to the river and a fabulous play area for kids.
