Woodsville is a good location....short drive to Groton State Park, which is fantastic, and a good start to exploring the northeast kingdom and even the White Mtns. The P&H Truckstop is 5-10 minutes away and a great place to eat.

Woodsville is a small town, but has good restaurants, and stores nearby. Just check to see when the restaurants are open as their hours change during the week. The Shiloh restaurant is right off the main road and serves a good variety of dishes. Also, Tutlle's Diner, in Wells River has a delicious breakfast and homemade bread.
