I had a wonderful stay at Sakurakyo Hotel. The hotel was spotless, reflecting excellent attention to cleanliness. The staff provided enthusiastic and professional service, always polite, charming, and ready to assist. I especially appreciated the complimentary airport shuttle and the thoughtful gift of two cable car tickets. Watching fireworks directly from the hotel was a delightful bonus. Having read multiple consecutive one-star reviews, I was initially skeptical, but as a seasoned traveler, it became clear to me that these reviews might be a result of unfair competition. My personal experience was completely positive, and I confidently recommend Sakurakyo Hotel to friends and family looking for a reliable and enjoyable stay.

Everything is perfect there, the room is so clean, the service is so good and the location is so convenient. We enjoyed the seaview and the firework in the room! My wife twisted her ankle by accident, the hotel staff kindly gave us ice to help. We really enjoyed the time in Casepia.

We had a really nice Bungalow with a big private garden. It is so peaceful and quiet there, we loved that. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Also the bed was very comfy and the bathroom well designed.

Great stay at Green Inn. Big swimming pools, but also child-friendly. Near the beach. Free breakfast and good coffee. Free laundry, cooking facilities and free bicycles. Stephen also gives free lifts in electric buggy to places nearby. Free bbq can be used. A fantastic experience. Thank you Stephen and the housekeeper - you were always very helpful.

    The food on resort was pretty good, surprisingly though, there were no Vietnamese food options. The Ibiza pool is great, and the beach there is super clean. The VinWonders amusement park nearby (2 minutes) is super fun, great value. The resort itself is extremely frustrating to stay at. Guests are not informed well enough about the resort, no maps given, nothing really explained, a buggy system that is inefficient. Buffet breakfast is good, if it's not busy, when it's busy, the kitchen can't keep up. All the restaurants on resort are Italian. Housekeeping doesn't use a checklist when cleaning, water doesn't get restocked, coffee not replaced, etc. They fumigated our villa before we arrived, it smelled so bad we couldn't stay in it, gave us all headaches. This matter was not given the right amount of attention to fix, I had to do a lot of follow up to make a switch happen.

    We were very happy with where we stayed on the Island as it was still very natural and the maintenance and protection of the natural environment was exceptional. However we were deeply shocked (appalled actually) when we saw other very built up parts of the Island with hotels and empty buildings by the block full. It was mass tourism and deeply disturbing and unattractive not to mention an awful destruction of the environment and local communities. For this reason we would not return to Phu Quoc and would not recommend it to other travellers.

    Phu qouc has the best weather, just cold and warm enough. The food is awesome. Its not as commercialised as other cities in vietnam. Its a cute small island with the perfect blend of love and culture. The roads are awesome, the infrastructure is awesome, the people are awesome.

    I think I chose the wrong time to visit the island..

    I think I chose the wrong time to visit the island.. Almost the whole time it was raining. The water was rough around this side of the island, and locals suggested to avoid getting into the water for safety reasons. Couldn't do much of exploring due to the weather. If you wish to enjoy the island, the best thing to do is avoid travelling between June to October (rains are unpredictable and annoying). Towards the end of October till about March, the place can be a gem.. This may probably be another reason why it's considered as the peak season by many travellers. Avoid staying in 1-hotel as travelling can take up a lot of time. Split your stay in 3-zones. North = Vinpearl + Star Fish beach + Grand World. South = Cable car, serene beaches, pearl factory, leisure time Central = Temples and markets and city tour, etc. + easiest to reach the Airport. Remember - check-in times are usually 12pm and check-out is 10am. Plan your arrival/departure accordingly. Another important thing to keep in mind is Food. If you have food restrictions, please book places which serve international food rather than just Vietnamese cuisine. Travelling around the city can be free. Yes - thanks to their Green Bus. But the flip side is the accessibility and timing. Routes are defined and based on the routes, bus timings differ(sometimes the wait can be more than 1hr, depending on the location you are at or where you need to go). Overall - I think I'll need another visit(maybe longer - 4 nights and 5 days) and at a different time of the year (Nov/Dec) to properly explore the whole Island and experience all that's there :)

    It is overrated island still not prepared for visitors. If you have already been to Thailand or Bali than you can very much skip this island. Everything is very average except sunset town, thats the only thing we found worth visiting. People there are not courteous. The resorts are very average too. you have to negotiate for everything and every activity you wish to do there. Grab is not very easily accessible. The cost of grab, activities, boat ride (island tour), cable car, star fish beach, etc. is all very expensive and not what influencers have portrayed for thus island. Overall, we found phu quoc very underwhelming and not worth a visit.

    This island is really a must see if you make the effort to visit Vietnam. So much to see and to do. The seafood is outstanding and even all the Vietnam dishes are very flavorful. I would definitely want to visit this island again.

    The service is very good. My wife ordered a pineapple juice which did not taste fresh. The staff replaced it with another one without charge.     West coast is the best location on the island. The hotel is 20mn of the center by scooter. Pool, beach access, gym and globally services are really cool. Restaurant has a diversified menu. A little expansive compared to rest of Vietnam but I guess it’s the island thing. 3 different breakfast that are very nice.
