I spent four days at Honeyguide Conservation Lodge and had a wonderful time. The staff and the Lodge Managers Madri and Wimpy are all very very friendly and helpful. I am gluten sensitive and the chef took special care about that - the food was delicious. The location is just fantastic: At night you can hear the Hippos down at the lake and the animals walk near by or even through the Lodge. The game drives were extraordinary and my Ranger Nic was very sensitive and respectful about the animals, always left them their space and has huge knowledge about animals (not only mammals), wildlife and flora that he is happy to share. Everything!! The location is so beautiful. The accommodation is outstanding, the experiences they offer are amazing, but most of all, the team at Lichenry are exceptional. They make you feel at home right away. The service is more than 5 star. They make you feel so comfortable. And the food, simply out of this world. Richard is the lynchpin to this phenomenal operation of great service and conservation. He is so knowledgeable about the animals and a fantastic guide and Ranger. Patrick at Front of House makes sure everything is perfect for guests and Doubt, makes sure you are watered and fed with grace and amazing service and humour . I can't say enough about the amazing chef.. The food is as good as any Michelin star restaurant in London. This is a gem of a place that has been hidden too long from the UK traveller to South Africa. It is so with the 2.5 hour drive from Johannesburg. This is South Africa at its best.

This is a magical place, where you can wake up and see a giraffe outside your window. It is safe, the rooms are clean, and the staff are very helpful and courteous. The manager went out of his way to accommodate us. A must-see for anyone visiting Mookgopong or Limpopo.

The entire staff was very very friendly, helpful and professional. We all felt very comfortable and secure. Our mistake was to book only one night. We will most certainly come back, but then stay for at least two nights.
