In the end we booked 5 nights. The location is exceptional bordering the Nature reserve of the Drakensberg world heritage site. The food is phenomenal. Having 3 buffet meals per day included in the price.

The stay was fantastic...on a dream location in a magnificent building. Ryan and Princess were super kind, such great people. Taking a swim in the infinity pool during sunset. Price/quality of the food & wine is really good. Diner was fantastic... Personal approach once we were there. Good tips from the manager/the warm welcome of Princess

staff was lovely and exceptionally helpful. Gorgeous view of the mountains right at the doorstep and window. beds were comfortable and room was warm. Dinner was tasty. As we had to leave the accommodation earlier, the kitchen specially packed a scrumptious and hearty breakfast to go.

Highbourne Cottages is truly a sight to behold. We had the pleasure of staying in the Protea Cottage. The views from the cottage were breathtaking, and it was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. The cottage features a double bed downstairs and two single beds upstairs. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset from the comfortable couch on the deck. While there are numerous hiking trails nearby, we opted to simply relax and enjoy the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of the property. We highly recommend Highbourne Cottages and look forward to returning in the future.

The most amazing part of this hotel is like arriving to your family country house and just being home. The owners were extremely helpful recommending hikes for us, helping us either tips, lending us much needed sandals for the river crossings, and making every moment of our stay memorable. We felt so relaxed and what more can you ask for a vacation. The food was also really good and the entire staff was very kind.

The location is like no other, looks like a painting in real life. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The apartment was very unique, we very much enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay more than one night here.
