It is a small (fenced) paradise on the edge of a town famous for its diamond mining. This is the main residential building of the owners and then several separate houses in the middle of a beautiful garden. Next to the main building is a stylish swimming pool, bar, barbecue area. All this available to visitors. everything is complemented by a beautiful garden and palm trees around the pool. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The 3 dogs from the owners were the nicest dogs we have ever experienced, I loved them. Our house/cottage was a beautiful stylish building faced with brick and with a thatched roof. Downstairs was a kitchen, a dining area, a living area and a bedroom with a double bed. Upstairs there is one single bed and another bedroom with a double bed. The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning, when it was really hot under the thatched roof in the attic. Breakfast was prepared by the owners in the form of ingredients in our private kitchen. Homemade bread, milk and everything was great.

Cullinan is well-suited for a day trip from Johannesburg,...

Cullinan is well-suited for a day trip from Johannesburg, offering a rich historical backdrop and a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, quad biking, and abseiling. These experiences make it an engaging destination for adventure seekers and history enthusiasts alike. However, as a mining town, it may not offer the most comfortable or scenic overnight stay. While the restaurants are adequate, they do not stand out as a highlight of the visit. Overall, Cullinan is worth exploring for the day—but I would not recommend it for extended accommodation.

A great place for a short visit and not to far from Johannesburg or Pretoria. A great history about the town, and some nice little shops and cafes. Better to visit at weekend as some of the shops closed weekdays. The mine tour is great, and the Premier Hotel well worth a stay.

This town is full of surprises. Attended their Winter Wine Festival and found out that they host 7 great events per year. The Historical Oak Avenue in Cullinan is worth the visit. Perfect weekend getaway Check out Railway Cafe, Makers Village and Cullinan Junction. Whispering Oaks perfect for breakfast and the pizza at Railways Café is amazing

Historically significant destination with an victorian allure, the diamond mine museum and tour recommendable. Spoilt for choice of restaurants and historic sites, wildlife reserves and wedding venues and spa's. The adventurous can indulge in a few rounds of golf at an highly rated golf course and estate, as well as walking trails. All-round recommendable destination

Unfortunately, this town like many other 'small' towns is deteriorating similarly!! Shocking, to say the least. We used to love walking around in Oak Street in Cullinan. NOT the SAME anymore - sadly. There was absolutely nothing to do and nowhere to grab a coffee ...... like we used to. The authentic and special is gone .....

Nice to be able to walk to all the main sites.

Nice to be able to walk to all the main sites. Didn't know that most would be closed from Sunday 18:00 until Wednesday in most cases. Station restaurant was the only exception, staff and owners there were excellent and friendly. and open everyday
