Terri was the perfect host. She was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. She made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. She even offered to put logs on the fire for us while we were out to dinner, so that we would come home to a cozy cottage. Terri also made some great recommendations for restaurants and activities. We particularly enjoyed her recommendation of Mez Karoo Kitchen. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Here are some specific details about our stay: The cottage was clean and well-maintained. The Karoo Moon house is such a beautiful and special place. We only stayed for one night but loved every minute of it. We highly recommend it!

We got a free upgrade to the lodge which was really unexpected. The cottage was really nice, well equipped. Even had milk, juice & cookies! The host also gave us a recommendation for dinner and reserved a table for us.

We were welcomed like old friends and stayed in an amazing beautiful cottage. The weather was cold but our cottage was well equipped with a fire place, a warm comfortable bed and all the amenities needed. The view from the stoep was special.

Situated in a quiet street facing pasture fields and mountains to the west. Walking distance to the major attractions and restaurants within Barrydale. Our Host, Jamie even organised a booking for dinner on our arrival at the Karoo Arts Hotel- 10 minute walk from Sunset cottage. Very secure with a beautiful garden and secure private parking. Everything you could want is available for our short stay here. It’s winter so those electric blankets were perfect. Heating available in the bathroom too and it was a huge bathroom with the biggest walk-in shower. Plenty of hot water and provisions in the kitchen included a coffee pod machine, tea, coffee, chocolates, sugar, spices etc. Jamie even gave us some sheep’s milk and yogurt to try. Highly recommend trying it! It’s so healthy !! I must comment on the garden! It really is beautiful and full of bird life even in winter.
