yes quite a unique place, the "shoe" more Boot really is a great piece of work, the chalets where behind the shoe, away from what is a busy road out front, the owner/creator was of interest, we chatted well together, 2 artists he in his contructions and me in my travels. good to have the shop out front for food and milk. All the staff were good.

Excellent views of Three Rondavels from our chalet no. 98. Nice restaurant. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary utensils, cutlery, fridge, microwave, toaster, hot plates, etc. Therefore, you can make your own food and do not need to rely on the restaurant. There's a braai outside as well. Nice views from the upper view point. The lower view point is not exciting. Very nice and tranquil place for relaxing and getting away from the city life.

One of the best places we visited during our three-week honeymoon, thanks to the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, the breathtaking views, and the sense of peace the place offers. What makes it even more special is knowing that your money supports a project with purpose, focusing on environmental sustainability, education and local community. One unforgettable moment was waking up at 4 a.m. to the sound of heavy footsteps, only to discover two giraffes right in front of our tent. Encounters like this are rare given the size of the property, but it shows the beauty of the surroundings. Even on your way to the lodge, you might spot some wildlife, almost like having your own private game drive. We also did a sunset drive with a guide, which was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend spending at least two or three nights here, with a full day dedicated just to relaxing in the lodge.

Host Andre was exceptionally welcoming and informative. Great suggestions and directions to explore the area. The on-site bush babies, monkeys, and zebras (which you may hand feed, a truly unique experience) were icing on the cake!
