Beautiful haven near Ladismith. Interesting foliage around stunning, well appointed, luxurious flats and a little original farmhouse. All with little pools. A lovely central area to enjoy a very nice dinner. Christianette was exceptionally helpful with a medical issue in our party, which could’ve been a disaster for our holiday, but she really saved the day with excellent advice & organisation

Have you seen the Hercule Poirot episode that opens with the caption ,"South Africa 1896" about a wealthy man implicated in the murder of his prospecting partner many decades before? Well you could have been there in this location. Being off grid the facilities are basic. But sitting out watching the sun go down was glorious.

I had a few interactions with Estelle, the owner via bookings.com as I had a few things I needed clarity on about the area etc. She was really helpful and replied timeously. Upon arrival we were met by Lindie who manages the property and she was also absolutely amazing, so helpful and accomodating. Nothing was too much for her at any time of the day. With Laingsburg being such a small town with not much to do, being there literally felt as though we were in a resort, so peaceful, neat, clean and very maintained. We stayed over to break our trip to CT and back to JHB and we will definitely be doing that again at Swallows Nest. Such value for money and exceeded our expectations!
