This is an amazing spot. Located next to the ocean and would recommend to book ocean view. Extremely clean and secure with very good parking and very warm and helpful staff. The two bedroom apartment was sparkling clean and very well tastefully decorated with attention to detail. Wished had booked more days there. Nearby you can walk to the whale watching spot and also restaurants nearby.

The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful and it was SO convenient for everything. Breakfast was great, infinity swimming pool was great, and being able to looksl for whales while swimming was an amazing experience. I would throighly recommend it to everybody!!

    Going there at the end of September allowed to enjoy great weather and an opportunity to see whales during the start of the whale season. The city was not very busy during the week, but weekend it gets busier than usual. We had the Grotto beach all to ourselves from the morning, midday the sun is very hot during Spring or summer, thus a good time to head for some lunch at nearby resturants to enjoy ocean meals or popular flame grilled meat. The neighbourhood is calm and suitable to walk around in Hermanus centre.

    Hermanus has a place in my part....always has.

    Hermanus has a place in my part....always has. It's beautiful and serene and food for the soul. The whales are of course, the main attraction. But Hermanus is like a real breathe of fresh air.

    A beautiful town on the coast 100km from Cape Town. There are lots of activities to enjoy - whales, walks, wine tasting and excellent restaurants. A boat trip into Walker Bay is definitely worthwhile.

    Hermanus & Vermont has everything to make a good holiday! "41 0n Siffie" had a lot of surprises in the kitchen - for example a microwave, a braai, hot pot and many other things that I wasn't expecting!

    Great place and saw whales, great eating places, shops etc. Lovely views and safe beachfront walks. Lots of places nearby like Stanford and many excellent wine farms in the Hemel and Aarde Valley road.

    This is a beautiful small hotel, by the Voelklip's beach near Hermanus. The hotel overlooks the beach. Mr Tito kept me company while I was waiting for the mess that I describe below - in relation to my booking - to clear up. Mr Tito was very polite and professional. He helped solve the issue, contacted the manager, and we had a very interesting and informative conversation in the 1 hour that I had to wait at the hotel's lobby. I want to thank Mr Tito for his patience, kindness and professionalism.

    A perfect serene stay in a quiet rocky bay (away from the hustle and bustle of central Hermanus). The room was enormous with a breathtaking sea view. Relaxed atmosphere throughout. Direct access to the coastal walking path. Onsite free parking with a daily car wash. Excellent breakfast with many different options. The hotel has the most outstanding staff (accommodating, efficient, knowledgeable) adding to the perfection. I dream of returning!

    Amazing little hotel with the most amazing staff who offered the best hotel service I think I have ever received in South Africa. They were extremely attentive and friendly and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The pool area is fabulous with all day sun and the location is perfect for a little walk into central Hermanus and its bars and restaurants.

    Gorgeous hotel overlooking the bay. The staff were amazing, we had such a warm welcome from the hotel manager Kevin and throughout our stay he could not do enough to help us and make our stay so special. The rooms were lovely and breakfast was amazing. Highly recommended for a stay in Hermanus.
