Loved the staff to begin with, very professional and courteous, the food was absolutely amazing, all the time, the game drive guide was knowledgeable and engaging, the whole place is definitely worth another visit. so I would definitely rate my visit and experience a 10/10.

We really enjoyed our stay, only one night, at Weltevreden Country Guest Lodge. Petra en Pieter are excellent hosts. Pieter cooked us a delicious dinner. The house was very neat and tidy with good beds. It was well decorated and with nice antique furniture. The place is lovely, with the terrace and grass and on the farm the nyalas and the beautiful trees and flowers. It is also a very quiet place, far away from hectic life. We certainly recommend this place for people who love calmness. We keep this lodge in mind for the next time we travel from Johannesburg to Botswana. Thanks for the great hospitality! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We unfortunately arrived late, but they took this in their stride. The owner was super helpful and upgraded our accommodation to better suit our family's needs. We slept very well and woke refreshed. Breakfast was great and set us up for the day ahead. Whilst I am not against hunting, my wife was saddened to hear that the animals do not venture close to the accommodation due to hunts that take place near the lovely water hole, close to the pool and viewing platform. An opportunity missed to get some great photos in a lovely location. We did, however, get some great pics of the cheeky hornbill.
