It's honestly such a cute house and the host has gone above and beyond to make sure every need is met. We could purchase food from the fridge and the cabinets with a trust based system (pleasantly surprised as we didn't bring much with us). You can even grill things outside.

Great view, well cleaned and everything worked well. The contact person was easy to reach. It was super nice to swim in the lake after sauna. The pictures give a real picture of the house, extra plus for that.

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, and very knowledgeable about the area. Great location for hiking in Koli National Park. Rooms were spacious and had all the facilities needed. Fire pit/grill was prepared for an easy light.

The house keeper was always in touch, and helped with directions. The cottage is very clean. It has a huge space: three rooms + living room + kitchen, sauna, bathroom and toilet. Everything works fine. The kitchen has everything to cook on and to eat from. The living room has nice fireplace. The house is lovely decorated in every small things: we felt secure and home by living there. There is also separate building of private wood-burning sauna on the cottage territory. Koli nature reserve is in 10 minutes drive - and is a nature wonder! There is complete silence everywere - it brings a lot of relaxation and peace to the soul. Planning to return there on the autumn season also. Thank a lot!

    My stay at Paimentupa exceeded my expectations. The room at the granary was surprisingly spacious, and it was dark enough to have a good night's sleep during Finland's white nights. My hosts were very friendly and helpful. The home-baked Karelian pasties were the highlight of a rich and tasty breakfast. Paimentupa is located in the midst of idyllic countryside, just a stone's throw away from the cliffs of Koli National Park. The perfect place to stay if you want to visit Finland's most famous National landscape.

    Place was a nice countryside place. Patio sunny, evening sun. Apartment & sauna basic, no luxorious. Horses ❤. Friendly service. Ski tracks close.
