My partner and I recently enjoyed a wonderful Valentine's Day stay at Acorn Cottage, and I can't recommend it highly enough. The location is fantastic, being close to the legendary Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak, offering opportunities for beautiful walks and exploring the area. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The owner was absolutely amazing – so welcoming and helpful. The cottage itself was perfect; it had everything we could possibly need and more. It truly felt like a home away from home. We had an absolutely fantastic time, and it made our Valentine's Day extra special. The location was also ideal, being close to both a pub and local shops, which was very convenient. We will definitely be booking Acorn Cottage again, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway, especially those wanting to explore the beauty of Sherwood Forest.

Sherwood Forest is about 9 km away. Private parking is also available on site. Loved the log cabin which was exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortable. Although there are other lodges and cabins nearby we had total privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break, the wine and shortbread were also nice touches. We wouldn't hesitate to rebook in the future. Thank you all 🥰

It was quiet and in lovely countryside, with dog walks from the door. We had a great break and would love to return.
