The location is amazing. It matches the pictures - a former flour mill built of stone located near a stream, with a small waterfall on one side. No neighbours - you're all alone. Rooms were a bit basic but OK, bathroom OK, Large kitchen had a ton of pots, pans, utensils etc. - also a gas range, a microwave, a filter coffee maker, and a sandwich toaster. There was a barbecue we used, and a washing machine. Wifi worked fine. Had a nice lawn to sit in (could eat out there on a picnic table). Our host was good - on line to solve anything if needed.

Set in a historical property, with traditional Alto Minho architecture, Solar de Serrade features a green garden.

The house is completely new, fully equipped, Anna serves full breakfast daily. The welcome pack of groceries she prepared was incredible from her own land. Moreover, we were allowed to help ourselves and pick up whatever we needed , so we have been consuming fresh and ecological veggies all our holidays. All the valley was celebrating their FERIAS, and we were able to meet their customs and traditions. People from the village were really kind and helpful, special mention to Hannibal and his family, he made us feel at home. All mornings we had a nice walk to the river and bath there. Our dog was happier than ever , she has been welcomed in every place and included. I highly recommend the place to rest and enjoy the most pure Portuguese traditions of the area. We did plenty of day trips to nearby villages , and visited their FERIAS too.
