Best location i have stayed yet in Sri Lanka. This pearl has everything you need. The bed is great, the shower is gorgeous and the personel is the best i’ve seen yet. They will help you with literally anything you need and wil accomodate it for you. If something on the menu is not like your taste, they can change it to your own liking. They have a beautiful big tent on the outside of the hotel, which has a bathtub, AC and literally everything you need. There are no downsides i could mention. Like i have said…. This place is a must when in Kandy. In fact, we'd specifically want to go back to Kandy just to go to this hotel again and enjoy the peacefulness and AMAZING food. We've already been to a number of hotels and restaurants in Sri Lanka, and while we've sampled superb dishes, Umesh's talents in the kitchen remain unparalleled. Kudos, sir!! In terms of location, the hotel is easy access to the city, but also is in a calm area surrounded by sounds of birds and squirrels hopping around in the trees across. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and lux. The clove shower gel and soap were also a smart touch. Finally, the staff at any place are always a critical contributor to the overall experience. At Clove Villa, Danushka and Umesh were the clincher. Both were so polite, friendly, professional, and always ready to go above and beyond to accommodate any requests. Thank you both!

Staff looked after us really well. Loved the hotel tuk tuk and Kandy Tours - with Austin. Definitely use this as more reliable and better than other tuk tuk. Continental breakfast was good. Chef makes delicious Sri Lankan food! This was in a great central location.

Authenticity is something hard to find in the hotelier business. But there's no lack of it at Cinnamon citadel. Place was exceptionally clean, staff were immensely helpful at every point. Authentic srilankan cuisine has never come close to perfection. Services offered were flexible and payment didn't feel like a headache. Perfect for families and couples looking to find some peace.
