When we came through the front door we were greeted by Vittorio, the owner and proprietor. As requested by the sign, we removed our street shoes and walked into an immaculately clean and inviting environment. The entire bed and breakfast is thoughtfully decorated and very warm. Vittorio took us to our room and provided us with information about the bed and breakfast. The room was very nice, complete with a comfortable mattress and a very nice bathroom. We stayed there 3 nights and, therefore, we enjoyed 3 distinctly different and delicious breakfasts. After learning that my wife is lactose intolerant he purchased lactose-free milk to make her scrambled eggs on the second day. Vittorio is an exceptionally considerate host. We highly recommend you stay at the Century House Bed and Breakfast when visiting Ottawa. You'll be most pleased.

Upon check-in, guests must provide photo ID and a bank issued credit card for a pre-authorization of room and tax charges, as well as $100. for security. The Hôtel exceeded my expectations and has great location, great breakfast and great staff! The rooms are huge, but the furniture is a bit outdated. That is no real reason not to book it!

E.g., When checking in, I asked if I could change my assigned room to one on a higher floor: done! For meals, I sat at the bar as I was travelling by myself. All the servers were very friendly and attentive. I was there on Remembrance weekend, and as the Lord Elgin is very close to Parliament Hill and the Cenotaph, I met patriotic people from all over Canada, including members of our armed services.

We stayed one night at the ByWard Blue Inn and really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of the ByWard Market, close to restaurants, cafes, and Parliament Hill. The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with a small balcony that was a lovely bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. A great choice for a short stay in Ottawa!

Located in downtown Ottawa, within 5 minutes' walk of Parliament Hill. Each guest room includes a flat-screen TV with cable channels and pay-per-view movies. Free WiFi is provided. The impeccable and friendly service of the staff. Our housekeeper on the 5th floor was lovely and helpful all week, as were the front desk and restaurant staff (hurrah for the bartenders who made great lattes with big smiles on each morning!). The lobby plants were stunning as well, and the beds more comfortable than mine at home.

If you stay at this place, you get a whole spacious apartment! The rooms have a fully equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom, a living room and a balcony. What do you want more? It's really close to the city center and all the attractions and sights. There are lots of restaurants, take aways and pubs nearby (the location itself is located in a quiet street). You also have a huge supermarket and a rexall there. I didn't use the gym and pool.
