Just really lovely people. I arrived quite earlier than expected due to having to take a taxi there because of the rail strikes but they were more than accommodating. The four cats on-site just brought such warmth to my stay. Tanya was also kind enough to make me a homemade breakfast each morning and nothing was too much trouble. The little garden in back was just so peaceful and serene and I spent a lot of time out there given the nice weather. Tanya even brought me a candle when she saw I was still savoring the outdoor area after dark! The room itself was quaint and comfortable and while it retained a sense of history, it has been updated with modern conveniences. There was a mini fridge and plenty of outlets for charging devices. Basic provisions like mugs, wine glasses and spoons were replenished each day and I appreciated they had milk and water in the fridge. It's clear the love and thought these hosts put into what they do.
