Guests can enjoy the mountain views from the outdoor bath. The property offers seasonal meals with local ingredients and fresh seafood. This Ryokan is non-smoking throughout. Complimentary WiFi is available. It was a very comfortable stay in Lalaca! Our room was well-equipped, we really liked the collection of skin and hair care products from great Japanese brands. In the onsen (private as well as public) we could relaxed after a long day. The menu in the evening was awesome: 6 courses full of seafood, different vegetables, meat. The staff was super welcoming and friendly. We will come back when traveling again to Hakone region.

Rooms at Fukuzumiro feature tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. Each guest room is equipped with a Handy Phone so guests can stay connected to WiFi during their entire stay and make international calls to select countries for free. A TV and a refrigerator are also included in rooms. Bathrooms and toilets are shared. This is a wonderful historic inn, structured as a series of buildings around beautiful gardens and including a series of indoors thermal water pools inside the property. We visited on a weekend and the guests seemed a mix of foreign visitors and Japanese. The location is walking distance from the village and the train station, but Fukuzumiro feels out of this world. You are not just getting a room, you are paying for a full experience and in our case, since this was our first visit to Japan, some much needed instruction on the etiquette of the onsen, the food etc. I recommend getting the dinner too which is delicious and an experience in and of itself (will be served in your room by an attendant) and trying the Japanese breakfast in the morning - if you are just a little bit adventurous food wise it is worth it!

All rooms are simply decorated and equipped with air conditioning and heating facilities. Bathrooms and toilets are shared with other guests. Towels can be rented at a fee. We stayed in the apartment at Hakone Tent with our kids 12, 14, and 16. Sleeping arrangements were traditional futons on a raised tatami platform and everyone slept amazing. Locations is great, just a few short minutes walk from the train station. The onsen is small and rustic, but private and was very relaxing. The view from the apartment was gorgeous, and we almost didn’t want to go out, the space was so enjoyable.

Free Wi-Fi access is available throughout the property. Cozy and comfortable hotel with high attention to the guest’s needs. With two people with gluten allergy they were extremely attentive and for dinner we got speciali created menu with all gluten-free courses, while for breakfast there was a large selection of gluten-free options with all the ingredients well listed. The rooms were very spacious and clean with amazing private onsen overlooking the mountains. Location is amazing, just a 3 minute walk to the cable car station which takes you to all the important and beautiful spots of Hakone! They as well provide shuttle service to Gora and Sounzan station if wanted. Tranquil and peaceful place, great to enjoy the mountains.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Nihonodori Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Kannai Train Station. The place is near my mtg place anf laso near the station. Very convenient. Staff are very helpful. Space is bigger than the usual room in Japan.

The food was outstanding as well as the experience of meal times, especially if you have dinner, which is well worth the cost. As good as any Michelin star restaurant with the added bonus of all-inclusive drinks during the meal. In addition the tea room was a nice experience with lots of choice and free after dinner drinks.

Hakone Pax Yoshino is located a 12-minute walk from Hakone Yumoto Train Station and offers indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and traditional multi-course Kaiseki meals. The Japanese rooms have a private hot-spring bath and free WiFi is available at the lobby. Breakfast was great. We were able to have dinner there as an add on, and the meal was amazing.
