Staff was extremely friendly and helpful in giving travel suggestions. The atmosphere in the place is lovely, clean, cozy and comfortable. Exceptionally good breakfast with super fresh fruit and Jam!

Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. It features a spacious and comfortable lounge, a tatami (woven-straw) terrace and a wall-size map with latest event information around Kyoto. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property, while portable WiFi devices are available for guests to use during their stay for an additional fee. The best hostel we've been to so far. The staff is amazing and very helpful, the location, the amenities were great. Nothing to complain about!

Service was great, dinner incredible, room is also comfortable and clean. One impressive part is the little gift e.g. Japanese style bags shared during the stay- very unique during my entire trip in Japan.

The staff is really there for you for anything that you need. I was allowed to use the public bath even when I was tattoed! It amazed me how the managed to make such a traditional hotel in the hearth of the city. The breakfast was sublilme and, to be honest, I'm not a tea guy, but I enjoyed having the tea ceremony and even liked the taste of the tea! At the end, they gave me a little gift that included pictures of me wearing the yukata.
