Perched on a mountain top with panoramic views, Delfim Douro offers luxury accommodation with private balconies overlooking the Douro River. It features a rooftop terrace, an outdoor pool, a restaurant and massage facilities. Delfim Douro Hotel was in one word Fantastic, even with a minor incident, what the staff directly and very professional corrected. The moment you walk in, the staff is there. With all the friendly help and the pre-checking was quickly. Everything was in my eyes perfect. We loved also that the hotel helped employees with a handicap, to see the Hotel is not afraid to have employee in a in the wheelchair, who solved our little problem with all the professionalism you can get. The restaurant was great, good food for a decent price, good variety wine and loved the desert, Florest chocolate, you have to try it. :-)

Bathrooms include a free-standing tub as well as free toiletries. The views from the property and our room were breathtaking. The room was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the included breakfast, and found the onsite restaurants to be quite good. We loved the indoor pool and also took advantage of the babysitting services. Everything about our stay was wonderful.

Margarida is very warm hearted host always trying to help in any situation. She gave us good recommendations of activities and restaurants in the area. Breakfast was wonderful with fresh fruits and homemade bread. The wine tasting hosted by Luis was memorable. Unlike any typical tour, it was more of a personal storytelling experience, where Luis shared his own passion and knowledge .
