Gasthaus Alte Post is located in the historic centre of Sighişoara, just 300 metres from the Clock Tower, and offers a restaurant serving local Transylvanian cuisine. Location is excellent, right next to the Citadel and main tourist area. Plenty of restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The property is charming, like an old inn with wooden floors. Room was very comfortable with down comforters and pillows. There was even a ductless Toshiba heater/air conditioning, which is very surprising in Europe. Mai heating done through radiators which was adequate. Bathroom showers has full closing glass doors which was nice. No slippery tiles. Small refrigerator in room. The included breakfast was more than adequate. Don’t miss fresh cider and local jam. I had dinner in the restaurant and the Spaghetti Carbonara was very good, with smoked Guanicale or pork cheek. The staff was polite but not very helpful in talking about local attractions. I think their awkwardness at their language skills must have embarrassed them. They were as helpful as expected. I was in shoulder season so it was quite empty. I like it that way. I suspect that the restaurants in the square get noisy at night.

Complex La Tunuri - Vila Economat is the former Royal Guard Office of Peles Castle, located on the Royal Domain directly opposite the castle and just 100 metres from Pelisor Castle. Very lovely property and an amazing location! Staff were very nice and the food at the restaurant was great!

Nice location, walking distance from the city center. I found the my short stay very pleasant! Unfortunately I had to leave early, before the breakfast.

My stay at La Maison de Caroline in Alba Iulia was absolutely wonderful. My room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and had a warm, cozy atmosphere. The perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort made my stay especially enjoyable. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – ideal for a restful night. The hotel is perfectly located in the historic center, allowing me to explore the city easily on foot. I was particularly impressed by the friendly and attentive staff, who took care of everything and made my stay even more special. The breakfast was also excellent – fresh, varied, and prepared with great care. A truly exceptional place to stay!
