This was such a convenient location in the heart of Zurich’s old town. It was really conveniently places and surrounded by the cities history at your doorstep. Trudy was really welcoming and we loved sipping grappa in her courtyard at sunset. Just at the front of her home is one of the cities fountains, we enjoyed a sunset dip and was one of our best experiences in Switzerland.

I had an amazing time at this hostel. Good location, the room was pretty nice and the bathrooms always clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend to anyone.

I enjoyed very much during my stay at this hotel. The location is not really near the main station but it is easy to walk without luggage about 10-15 mins. We reached Zurich by train and took a tram no4 to hotel. The check-in is easy and the lady at counter is the one of the friendliest service staff I met during this 2 weeks. She also help us to book a shuttle service to airport on the last day. The room is spacious good for 3 persons and bed is comfy and look exactly the same from the pic The breakfast is good enough for us, coffee, eggs bacon and yogurt and cheese.

The Marktgasse Hotel is a historic building with low ceilings and sloped floors (not all rooms).
