We had a great stay at Donghu. The hotel had a lot of charm, everything was clean. We had fresh water, tea and coffe everyday. We booked the business room which was spacious enough for us to stay 5 nights. The location is close to a lot of cute shops and restaurants. The metro is about a 15 min walk. I recommend to prepare some phrases in Chinese, as most of the staff doesn’t speak English. However we never had any issues, as they were very helpful.

Service staff were very helpful. Before check in, they stored our luggage then delivered it to our rooms once the room was ready. Then sent us walking guides for the neighbourhood. They were always easily contactable via wechat and answered all our questions.

First of all, t h e breakfasts. I wrote to SSAW before visit to mention we're vegetarians - as I know it may be difficult in China. The breakfasts were perfectly adjusted, giving a wide range of options and very delicious ones. Everyday was a better one because of them.
Besides that; the hotel staff is kind and helpful, and they mostly speak basic English. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The cleaning service was ok, they've made a bed and fullfilled the bathroom's accessories. Everyday, there were bottles of water waiting in our room. We could use the lundary room for free. Location was good - close to the metro and convinient stores.
I liked the traditional atmosphere and decorations in the hotel. It's small and private. Such a nice steppingstone from those huge ones in China. I recommend this hotel a lot!
