Fantastic hotel if you want to explore Xiamen and the region. Perfectly located at the heart of the city, the Swiss Grand offers spacious rooms, a stunning view on the harbour and best of all, amazing staff who will help you get along with all that you need to accomplish when travelling China as a foreigner. The hostel has a welcoming feel and is exceptionally clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, they really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The bed was amazing, not just for a hostel, but for an accomodation in general. I would highly recommend staying here!

Location: the hotel is located within walking distance of the Xiamen International Conference Centre, and the Xiamen Convention and Exhibition Centre. There is a shopping centre (Coco Park) located a block away from the hotel, with restaurants, stores and other recreational activities such as an indoor skiing rink, indoor tennis, indoor golf and indoor rock climbing. Spa: the in-house spa is very good, but they don’t offer facial treatments during the evening; only massages. Alternatively, there are also spas available in Coco Park. Vending machine: THEY HAVE A VENDING MACHINE! The vending machine is on the ground floor (reception and lobby floor) tucked behind a wall to the side of the elevator shafts, next to the bathrooms on that floor. The vending machine sells power banks, heated eye masks, heated neck pads, disposable underwear and socks, makeup remover wipes, essential oils, shaving foam, umbrellas, travel sized deodorant, travel sized Laneige skincare, mini vacuum water bottles, SELFIE STICKS, HEATED GUA SHA devices, EAR CLEANING TOOLS and much more. -Clean spacious room with fruit and snacks provided each day. -Buffet style breakfast was ample, large choice of hot and cold food and drinks. -Great central location - 20 mins to the airport and Wu tong ferry port. Next to Xiamen train station and 5 mins walk to metro and BRT. -staff were excellent - 小張 was especially kind to us during our stay.

Everything was excellent. The stuff was super nice and they immediately bring us some bigger casserole and pan and good knife for cooking. The room is very big and super clean. Cleaning service is excellent too. They clean every morning. We will for sure use Somerset serviced apartments again. The position is very nice just in front of big shopping mall with nice Ole supermarket inside and lot of restaurants too

Sea view room had excellent views towards Gulangyu, with information of the monuments you can see, as well as some paper and coloured pencils to draw. The decoration is quirky and fun, making reference to the culture and history of Xiamen. Location is very good, close to Zhongshan Rd and short taxi drive to Nanputuo and Xiamen Uni. The hotel receptionist, Lydia Li (guest service manager), was extremely nice and helpful, aiding us to book a tour to the Nanjing Tulou, and was very attentive as well during our stay.

Staff is very helpful and friendly, also they speak very good English. They spontaneusly proposed to upgrade my room with no extra costs. The location is also very accessible, nearby there are plenty of restaurants where to eat. Very recommended

The hotel is superb. Few days before check in, housekeeper Wendy emailed to ask if I am celebrating any events. I just replied casually that it’s our wedding anniversary and viola!At check in, there was a bouquet of roses n balloons in the room. V pleasant experience.
