The Orient is one of the nicest places I'll ever stay. Everything from the staff, to the pool areas, to the rooms, were incredible. A special thank you to Reza for his hospitality. The pool areas were beautiful and it was such a peaceful way to start my trip in Indonesia. The attention to detail was incredible and I will be sure to visit the Orient on my next trip to Jakarta. This is a beautiful 5-start hotel in a prime location. It's close to the MRT and there's 2 nearby shopping malls, Plaza Indonesia (high-end luxury shops) which is connected to the hotel, and Grand Indonesia (upper middle class shops) which is just across the road. It has a pool, a salon (doesn't cut kids' hair), gym, and 4 restaurants with 1 of them open 24hrs/day. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable, clean, and big. There's lots of shopping, restaurants, and cafes nearby. My wife loved the restaurant decor, she said it was so pretty. I loved the breakfast, it was wonderful and always had lots of options; several cooked-to-order.
