Allen Frances was a fantastic support. My wife and son had gotten unwell and he went out of his way to ensure everything was going ok. Great location as well, friendly staff in general

The location is something special. You find yourself in the middle of a medieval Jewish quarter, a very touristic place. Though at nights it is so quiet and the local life comes its way...
The reception was exceptional. The guy (sorry, I forgot his name) was as attentive and helpful as you may only think of. All of his recommendations were really the best. Thank you!

Everyone was so very welcoming. Our first venture down south to Kerala and so a wonderful place to explore Kochi but in a wonderfully relaxing environment (quiet and calm).

The location was excellent, on an island, away from the busyness, right by the backwaters
The bed and pillows were so comfy and feather like. The view from the room was spectacular facing the waters. The bathroom was extremely spacious with a beautiful bath tub.
I loved the breakfast with authentic Kerala food as well as great choice of European food.
The club lounge was useful - fantastic choice of finger food ( a bit low on vegetarian options) and alcohol beverages.
The check in was so quick even though I arrived at 9am. Everything was really superb.

We booked a double room with a fan. The room is very clean and comfortable, fan was strong enough for us to not miss air conditioning! The room itself was a little humid, but I believe this was only due to monsoon season. The best part about this place are the hosts: extremely kind and friendly, they helped us book a backwater cruise as well as tickets to a Kathakali show. We tried the breakfast options and they were both amazing. Definitely recommend!

An absolutely stunning boutique hotel at the core of the best touristic attraction of Kochi. All the good restaurant are at walking distance and with a rickshaw booked with Uber (so no surprise in pricing) everything must see is reachable. The hotel itself is a true living museum to the glorious portuguese past. The personnel is kind, helping, courteous and full of goos advices. Highly recommended

I came here because to search about the history of relationships between India and Japan in 16th century.
Staying Brunton was the best choice,I guess.
The building itself skillfully reproduces the historical design, and the lobby was like a museum or gallery, full of items that let you image about old days.
The lady at the reception provided me with accurate information to make my wishes come true.
What we should also be grateful for was the presence of Mr. Sunny, the hotel-belonging tuk-tuk driver. He guided me in accurate English perfectly.
Thanks to Sunny, I felt as if I were at home during my staying.
About eating, I decided to eat all my meals at one restaurant within the hotel and went there all the time.
The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and all were conversational.
The value of this hotel goes beyond its good facilities and rich food; to me, it was more than just a consulate.

Oh my gooodness, where do I begin. From their beautfiul oasis of a property with every facility you could need my sister and I had an amazing staycation at the Taj Malabar. We were only there for one night, but the staff made us feel so very welcome - and I mean every single staff member we encoutered! We had fabulous food with a made-on-request item at breakfast from Chef Sunil, great service at the restaurant from Alex and Dinesh, Latheef gave us amazing information about their garden and plants, Jasmine gave us a warm welcome and a great boat tour. There was an out of this world floral arrangement at the entrance and we were given an extensive overview of how that beauty comes together. We really enjoyed our stay overall but the staff made it extra special. The room in and of itself had a great view (501) and was impeccably decorated, with a smart TV. Super comfy bed and sheets - as with all hotels in the Taj family.
