We enjoyed a lot our stay at Davanzati, the staff is great and they have multiple benefits(besides the breakfast) that we were not aware when we made the reservation and that were a nice finding: - Happy hour with free drinks - Coffee time with free treats and cake In general the hotel was pretty great, the location is perfect and near all the main attractions from the city and you can easily walk there from the train station. I couldn't recommend it more.

Everything . Due to flight problems, we received a compliment from the hotel in the form of a room upgrade. Staff is extraordinary, food is very tasty (chef Tomazzo!). Clean rooms and comfy beds. Very pleasant and family owned Hotel.

A Wonderful Experience – Highly Recommended! We truly enjoyed our stay—everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. This former Augustine convent of the 13th century is set beside the Uffizi Gallery, facing Florence's Ponte Vecchio. The roof garden with bar offers views of the Cathedral.

The Location is great. Once you exit the Hotel, within 30 seconds you are on lively roads with shops, cafes, restaurants and museums as well. The Location is really great if you like to walk in a lively roads and streets. The People of this city are very helpful and peaceful. We did not have any issues and enjoyed our 4 day stay. The service in the hotel is exceptional from the receptionist to the concierge to the restaurant and housekeeping. This is one of the few hotels that exceeded my expectation and my expectation is usually high as a frequent traveller. The rooms are well designed using a modern twist of classical italian style. My kids loved their room as well.

Hotel Balestri faces the Arno River in Florence city centre. Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery are 400 metres away. It features a roof terrace with lovely city views.

the location [brilliant]; the windows watching Arno; a nice and quite atmosphere; food..our second time in Balestri [it had to be a third time, but in the recent visit, all the rooms were occupied]; a good generous timing for check-out

Difficult to imagine a better location in Florence, but beside this quite objective fact we were very satisfied by how well were were taken care of, starting with the car valet service, the reception at the hotel or the helpfulness regarding e.g. suggestions for restaurants. the hotel does not offer breakfast but for 14 EUR you get a voucher for the impressive buffet at the bargello restaurant just downstairs (believe me, it`s worth it, both for the quality of the food and the personnel)

The location couldn’t have been better, very close to everywhere we wanted to go but located on a quiet street that allowed us to have a peaceful staff. The decor was authentically Tuscan and the staff were friendly and helpful.
