Visiting Verona for work at a theatre festival, I needed a functional base, that wouldn't break the budget. Verona is not the cheapest place to stay, so compromising on location was the easiest way to keep costs reasonable. And I wanted somewhere to cook and to work. This more than satisfied all those requirements. It's a comfortable apartment with everything you need to live as though at home. For those who are driving, there's a car parking area close by (I've no idea what the conditions are as I was on public transport). It's about 50 minutes walk into town, but there are very regular buses from just across the road, easily available scooters and bikes (bring a helmet to be legal) and a taxi costs around 20 euros. There's not a lot of shopping very close by, but plenty within a decent walking distance. It's nice too to be in a normal residential area with people and everyday sounds. And the adjacent church is spectacular.

Providing quiet street views, Arena Suite is located in the Verona Historical Centre district of Verona, less than 1 km from Verona Arena and a 10-minute walk from Piazza Bra.

We enjoyed our stay at Arena Suite, and highly recommend staying there for close walking to the city center. Francesco the owner, is wonderful with communications before and during your stay, and has great recommendations for restaurants, and things to do while in Verona. Our room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and having the small balcony was wonderful. The location was great, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was big, clean. Handy for the bus to train station 1 or 2 stops about 15 walk. Arena 10 mins walk Would definitely recommend.
