We had the room with the onsen on the terrace, which was wonderful. Both the Japanese dinner and breakfast were also absolutely amazing.

The owner helped me a lot to secure transport, which guaranteed that I had a very good day and could see a lot. The location is very good and close to the train station. There you can rent bicycles and also there is the bus station for Iya valley. I also liked the facilities in the style of the hostel with well equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi and clean bathrooms.

The open air bath on our room's balcony was amazing, as was dinner. Breakfast was pretty good too! This was our first time staying in a ryokan and it was as magical as I had hoped.

Daisuke and Yumiko were wonderful hosts and the inn is a beautiful traditional Japanese house surrounded by incredible scenery. Yumiko's cooking is amazing, and she used a lot of locally sourced ingredients and taught us about them. We had a fantastic time here and wished we could have stayed longer.

Obviously amazing location. The bed was comfy and the bath was really nice. Although the stand out aspect was the staff, they were super nice and friendly. The man offered us his umbrella when it was raining and the woman even rang the boat tour company and soba noodle making place to check availability for us. The communal space is also great with the option to place super old school Nintendo games.
