Location was very good for skiing. Ski room locker directly opened onto slopes and the top of gondola was steps away when returning on the last lift. Have stayed here before and the private onsen room includes a private dining room with full multi course Japanese meals. These Japanese meals are very traditional and not for the western palate but are a great experience for the adventurous. The normal rooms and shared dining work but the private dining is the real treat and why I booked. The shared onsen is also very good but maybe not great if it was busy - we were the only ones there and the sauna and outdoor pool were a bonus. If the private onsen room doesn't make too big a dent in your wallet and you want to experience traditional Japanese dining then go for it.

Just a 2-minute walk from the Maruike ski resort, Club Wyndham Shirakabaso Shigakogen offers indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, rooms with free Wi-Fi and a launderette.

The service was incredible, from the time we booked to the last goodbye. It was our first time in Japan and for most of us, our first time skiing. Naoko helped us with absolutely everything, booking extra space for our friends, booking the right tickets for ski lifts, guiding us where to go, looking for ski school, renting gear and equipment, taking buses, you name it! Always so kind and calm! Everyone in the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. The place is really clean and like a home! You can pretty much ski from the hotel car park! Food was beautiful and it was just so nice to relax in the Onsen after a day of ski and before a feast! Not worrying about restaurants, with 4 teenagers, all we did at night was enjoy their company playing ping pong, cards and chatting about the day! We couldn’t feel more comfortable or welcome!

Great hospitality. The front desk staff/ owner were excellent. They used the translator app with great success. 2 Onsens in the Hotel plus one outdoor Onsen .You can't beat that! Traditional Japanese cuisine!

We had an amazing stay at this place. The room was clean & comfortable. Aki was incredibly welcoming & very helpful, making us feel like a home away from home. The breakfast being served was wonderful. Dinner was superb! Highly recommend to opt for breakfast & dinner as the food served was really delicious & moreover, there ain't many restaurants around. Best host ever, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We will definitely be back...

We had a fantastic stay at this Sachinoyu The hotel is run by an exceptionally friendly, kind and accommodating family - they helped us with absolutely everything we needed which made our time in Shigakogen such a good experience. Great location close to the Kumanoyu and Yokoteyama resorts. The hotel offers a shuttle service which made getting to and from the slopes extremely convenient for us. We were also able to rent ski gear from the hotel which again made everything hassle free for us! The onsen was such a treat after coming back cold from skiing! Not to mention the gorgeous lavender toiletries that helped us to unwind and relax! Beds are super comfortable. The food was great - it is very clear that the staff put a lot of hard work and effort into each meal. They were also very accommodating with my dietary requirements.
