The establishment was wonderful! We loved the area, the surroundings, the beautiful green forest all around, the setting, the decoration of the building and the room and the lobby and the bar and outside... Basically everything! They welcomed us warmly and the personnel was always smiling and kind to us. The (paying) breakfast was delicious, copious, full of local products and presented with care and attention as it was the whole place. We are very happy to have stayed there and we will for sure come another time!

House of Troha was one of the highlights of our trip! The property is stunning, and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous—spacious, modern, and with every comfort you could ask for. The breakfast was hands down the best we had during our entire journey through Austria, Germany, and Slovenia—simply unforgettable! While it’s not located directly in Bled, it’s only a 7-minute drive to the town, so it’s very manageable if you have a car. The only nearby restaurant wasn’t amazing, but this small inconvenience is easily outweighed by the beauty and comfort of the accommodation. If you’re looking for a peaceful countryside stay with luxury touches and proximity to Bled, I would absolutely recommend House of Troha!

Newly opened in April 2009 after extensive renovations, this 4-star hotel, first opened in 1906, is only 200 metres from Lake Bled and in the immediate vicinity of the train station.
