Hotel is a little gem in the center of Bangkok. It is a 7-10 minutes walk to Khao San Road, but in a very quite area. There is a 7 eleven store few steps away and a good restaurant across the street. The Hop on hop off bus station is also near (at Khao San area), so it is very convinient for sightseeing of Bangkok. The owners are very nice and helpful people, rooms and the whole hotel are kept very clean. Breakfast is good, and in the common/dining room you can have tea, coffee, various fruits and snacks any time of the day/night for free. Also bottles of water are free to take. As we had two rainy days during our stay, we have ordered food on Grab and then had our meal in the dining room using utensiles of the hotel. We had a beautiful, spacious, large room with a terrace overlooking the canal where you can spot many fishes, just a nice view for relaxing. There is also a nice, small garden in front of the dining room, so one can enjoy sitting there near the canal. Internet is excelent. Air conditioner is also good, and beds are big and very comfortable. We strongly recommend this hotel as it is like a oasis in the jungle of Bangkok. P.S. just to mention that this part of Bangkok is not connected with Bangkok metro

I was so welcomed! Timmy and Dear was waiting for me, ready to help me with my luggage.I had an ice tea served as a welcome drink.Villa Mungkala felt like a home away from home! Timmy took very good care of me,she even walked me on a little tour of the neighbourhood.And she made sure to lend me her umbrella since it looked like it would rain.The breakfast was delicious.They have a menu to choose from. I had homemade pancakes with almonds, bananas, pineapple and papaya on the side. The coffee was delicious as well.Fruits and muffins,tea and coffee was available all day. There was a mini fridge.I also loved the neighbourhood.Youre in a small lane, off the main,very local,very friendly.It was very quiet.You are in walking distance of the Emerald temple, the temple of the Reclining Buddha.The Grand Palace and more. I am sure to return!
