Pros: Excellent location. Redone and modernized historical building. Rooms are spacious (for NYC standards) and the pillows/bed are extremely comfortable. Loved the Marshall speakers available bedside. Restaurant and bar are excellent. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

A wonderful place for solo travelers! I was a bit hesitant about sharing the bathroom and shower, but everything was really well organized. I could always shower or use the toilet whenever I needed, and everything was clean and tidy. The air conditioning in the room was perfect during the hot days. Das made me feel very welcome and was super friendly and gave me the sense that I could always reach out if I needed anything. All in all, a very pleasant and hospitable place!

the staff at the hotel bar were really friendly and fun to talk to after a day out in the city. they literally bent over backwards (and did a flip) for us! the reception staff were always super helpful. the cleaning staff, even meeting them in the elevators, were really friendly and nice to chat with. rooms were really nice, comfortable and clean. the restaurant has good breakfast with a diverse menu. and the location was fantastic for exploring midtown manhattan by foot. loved my stay at the Motto.

The room had beautiful floor to ceiling windows, with a great view of the city. Perfect location as super close to the subway and lots of other main attractions. Staff were lovely and very accommodating.

The staff at check-in was very helpful and welcoming, if I am not mistaken the receptionist name was Yashur (sorry if I'm wrong). I saw many reviews were complaining about elevators but we didn't have any issue. Everything was amazing during our stay. Hotel is located in a nice area, walking distance from many attractions, breakfast was nice and rich and the rooftop provides you with amazing views. There is also a gym, small shop, and luggage storage. We will definitely come back when we visit New York again.

A wonderful hotel with very polite and helpful staff. The receptionist in the morning kindly told me about great places to have breakfast. The housekeeping staff on my floor gave me towels and coffee without any issues. The hotel offers high-speed Wi-Fi. There are plenty of excellent eateries around with great food and drinks, and people everywhere are very friendly and welcoming. I was extremely pleased with both the hotel and the area in general!
